Tuesday, 10/12 -- Proud new additions to our immediate family.

Day 2 of 5

Still feeling pretty good. I can feel the medicine in my system, but the cumulative side effects have not yet started manifesting. Later in the week is when I'm going to be feeling like a miserable jerk.

One spot of good news, I won a Weber Q Portable Gas Grill from a Home Depot sweepstakes. The letter came today. The grill won't be delivered for another 4 or 5 weeks. Just in time for the big outdoor grilling season. Jokes aside, it will get a lot of use when I'm outside in the snow grilling veggies and fish. I think it will be sweet and esthetically pleasing, in other words "fly."

Lyn got the same suspicious envelope today too, maybe she won one as well. That would be pretty funny, but not unheard of.

George Forman, eat your heart out. (After grilling it on one of your George Forman Brand grills.)

Yesterday we welcomed 5 new members to our family. 2 plecos, 1 rainbow shark, 1 iridescent shark and one black moor goldfish. So far everyone is doing well. The iridescent shark wasn't looking too good, so he's adjusting in his own private bowl for now. He needed some time to get his head together. He should join the gang shortly.

We had been loosing long time aquarium residents through age and age related illnesses. These little guys usually don't live past 5 years, but I've always had good luck with tropical fish, getting them to last 7, 10 or more years. I must have a "wet thumb."

Pictures of our new kids will be available soon on this very blog.

One minute you're "grilling veggies and fish" and the next thing you know you and Lyn are out getting 'replacement' fish for your tank. Hmmmm, I see. And exactly how is the iridescent shark...um, doing?
Wednesday, day 3, more than halfway there. Keep going strong. Take care.
