Eric's Blog
In 2003 Eric was diagnosed with a malignant Sertoli cell tumor, an extremely rare form of testicular cancer for which he underwent surgeries and chemotherapy. He fought with determination and spirit, never giving up, but died on March 19th, 2005, at the age of 33. This blog was Eric's way of keeping family and friends apprised of his condition. This site will be maintained indefinitely so that others may share in his humor, his pains and, most important, his love of life.

Hey, leave cousin Regis out of this. I'm half Philbin. But you're right, Regis is no Dick Clark. Try looking on the bright side. It could have been Ryan Seacrest, and we can all be thankful to Fox for giving him his very own New Years Eve special so that he can’t ruin anyone elses.

The producers said "Dick Clark is sick, we need someone as big as Dick for New Years Eve." What ABC heard was "We need a big dick for New Years Eve." Hence Regis.
